Self-Portrait Project Progress (#1)

This week I worked for an hour on my Self-Portrait Project. On this project, I'm trying to use the marks that I studied from Raphael's Study for the Phrygian Sibyl. I think that maybe I like how it's going so far? I like the line weight/contrast of my mark, but I don't really like the shape of the marks. I feel like it just looks kind of flat. Although, it does seem noticeably better when I'm looking at this picture, so maybe I just need to look at it from far away more.
