Q1 Home Project Progress (#1)

So I'm still mid-good start on my Home Project. I'm doing portfolio building by drawing from observation, so I have a still life set up. I'm still in that very early stage where I'm kind of feeling out the vibes I want? I'm really excited for fall so I know I'm going for kind of a pumpkin spice vibe, but I also know that if I go for a vague pumpkin spice vibe then I kind of also want it to be slightly too intense/dramatic/possibly kind of spooky (?) to be just pumpkin spice. I'm thinking about doing some more layers when I'm painting or maybe also adding some layers of colored pencil, although that will probably be dependent on how it looks later on.

Okay so I took this progress photo after I did some of the underpainting, which was maybe a mistake because I did a very fleshed-out sketch and it isn't really showing up that well in this picture. But it's there!
