Installation Project Process (#1)

I started the beginning stages of my installation project this week. Normally I would put a picture in a progress post, but this time I feel like putting in a picture wouldn't make much sense just because I haven't done much besides beginning to collect objects, and the process of laying everything out side by side, taking a picture, putting it all back, and emailing and uploading the picture wouldn't even be worth it because I haven't done enough for the picture to matter. Thus far, I have been doing a lot of thinking and I have also cut out about 15-20 paper stars from glittery posterboard. One of the problems I've been thinking about is how to incorporate 3D elements to the walls of my installation. I've been toying with the idea of maybe putting the stars on some kind of cardboard and then putting layers of that on my wall to create more dimension. I've also been thinking about how I want to deal with the management of the space that I want to install in, just because there's a chair in the middle of it and there's also quite a lot of stuff on the walls, and I'm trying to decide if I should move the chair and cover up the walls or not. I'm leaning towards moving the chair but leaving the walls. I also want to consider other elements, like maybe making clouds out of fabric or tissue paper.
