Yesterday I went to see this quarter's lunchtime lecture, which was led by guest lecturer Summer Balcom. One thing that I found very interesting was her discussion of market circuits where she sells her work. I also liked hearing about how she decides when to do restocks and how she began her business. One thing that I'm curious about is how she makes her clay pieces where the linework is colorful. She mentioned this in the talk but I don't think I quite understand how it works. I also wonder how hard it is to find market opportunities. Additionally, she mentioned that she's gotten better at laying out her market tables over time. What are the criteria for a good table layout? How does that work?
